For Job Seekers: 

How Not To Get Hired – Learn how to avoid the red flags that prevent you from moving forward in your job search. We’ll discuss real examples of what people have done and how you can avoid the same mistakes. Handouts are included.

Master The Interview – Interviews can be challenging and stressful for many people. Get out of the passenger seat and behind the wheel! Learn how to become confident and in control by showcasing all you have to offer. We will discuss different types of interviews, illegal and legal questions and what to do before, during and after the interview.

Create Individualized, Effective Documents – Showcasing yourself well on paper is essential in the job search. Do you feel your documents represent you? We will discuss how to effectively incorporate your experiences, skills and abilities into our resume and cover letter. Handouts are included.  

Explore your options – Your interests, goals, values, preferences and strengths play an important role in finding your career fit.  We will discuss your results from the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator® and the Strong Interest Inventory®,then strategize next steps for exploration and action. Participants will receive their assessment results and a self-exploration handbook.

For Employers:

Understanding Today’s Employee – As a manager you are challenged to work effectively with many different styles and personalities. In this 90 minute session we will look at your preferences (as identified by the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator® (MBTI®) assessment you will take online prior to the session) and how they affect and are affected by those you manage. Through group discussion and handouts, you will walk away with proven strategies and tactics to improve your workplace.

Interviewing 101 – You have been asked to head up or participate in a search committee and aren’t sure what to do. In this 90 minute session we will discuss different types of interviews and questions as well as legal and illegal questions. Nonverbal communication will also be examined. Handouts are included.
